I offer Internal Family Systems therapy online to adults across the UK and internationally.Perhaps you're feeling pulled in different directions within yourself. Maybe a part of you worries, criticises, or carries pain, while another longs for rest, connection, or calm.I offer a warm, non-judgemental space where all parts of you are welcome. Sessions are thoughtful and relational. We can gently slow things down and begin to notice what is happening, so you can find more understanding, ease, and presence.Understanding Internal Family Systems
Internal Family Systems, or IFS, is an evidence-based form of psychotherapy that understands us as having different 'parts', each with its own feelings, roles, and intentions. Alongside these parts, IFS recognises a core 'self' where qualities like clarity and compassion can be accessed. In sessions, we will focus on what is present for you in the moment, whether that is anxiety, self-criticism, confusion, or something harder to name. Rather than analysing or trying to fix it, we turn towards it.We might notice where a reaction shows up in your body, what you're feeling, or perhaps how past stories or patterns are around for you. The work is paced carefully and collaboratively, allowing understanding to unfold naturally.Over time, many people find they feel less at war with themselves and more able to respond to what they feel with steadiness and care.If you are curious to find out more about IFS, you can do so on my website here or on the IFS UK website. How I work
My practice is built on inclusivity and openness and is welcoming to people of all identities, bodies, genders, sexualities, relationship constellations, abilities, and beliefs. I appreciate the uniqueness of each person and their experiences, embracing a non-pathologising approach.I’m mindful that the world around us shapes our experiences, and I create space for you to explore the different intersections of your identity. My approach is queer and trans-affirmative, and I often work with people from the LGBTQ+ community. I am culturally aware, and my practice is grounded in kindness, compassion, and respect for all. You set the pace, and in our sessions, we will focus on what is meaningful for you in the present moment, as well as patterns or experiences from your past. Seeing and honouring the whole person - a holistic approach
Considering both the body and the mind can be helpful for those whose bodies are a place of anxiety (for those experiencing change, physical illness, or low self-confidence, to name but a few). Relational, trauma-informed, and evidence-based practices
Alongside IFS, ideas and principles from many years of Person-Centred Therapy experience, as well as neuroscience, mindfulness, philosophy, and aspects of Jungian psychology (to name a few) inform my work. I am also interested in dreams, archetypes, mythology, folklore, and our connection to land and place, which may gently weave into therapy where meaningful for you.My work as both a therapist and a client has shown me the magic and power of paying attention to the present moment and how understanding who you are and how you relate to the world empowers you to make choices that lead to a more meaningful, connected, and fulfilling life.
