Free 15-Minute Initial Call

I offer a free initial call (about 15 minutes) where we can meet, you can find out more about working together, and ask any questions that might you have.

This initial call is a mutual assessment and there is no obligation to continue.

How I work

At the core of my practice, I believe that you are the expert in your life. I value what makes each person different and will work with you to take the approach to person-centred therapy that is most helpful for you.

Person-centred therapy offers a chance to see ourselves, how we think, what we feel, our relationships with others, and how we communicate, with more clarity. I believe that with a deeper sense of who we are, comes the freedom to seek authenticity and the opportunity to find the life that fits us.

Counselling is a creative process, and the experience of therapy is different for everyone. It might feel like a relief to share things that have been bottled up for a while or helpful to have a space to talk that is free of judgement.

Sessions might include: talking, becoming aware of the present moment, noticing the habitual parts of your experience and being curious about feelings, thoughts, dreams, imagery, metaphors and movement. For some people, a few sessions might be what they need at this time in their life, and others may decide to continue in therapy for longer.

You will find a space that is compassionate, confidential, empathic and non-judgemental. I work intuitively, offering time for reflection with warmth, honesty and authenticity. I see the therapeutic relationship (between the client and counsellor) as a container for exploring how we relate to others, healing relational wounds, and a space to courageously look at things which might feel too big to look at on our own.

You’ll set the pace and decide the content of each session. I will not diagnose, direct or advise you, as friends or family members might, and we will explore together what is important to you without an agenda.

I work with adults over the age of 18, and my practice is inclusive of all races, genders, sexual orientations, disabilities, and religious and cultural beliefs.
